담양 대나무축제장 근처에 자리를 잡게 되어 평범한 먹을거리는 사람들의 관심을 받지 못해서 살아남기 위해 담양의 명물 대나무를 활용한 도넛을 만들었는데 이것이 댓잎도넛이다.

독특한 초록빛 도넛은 밀가루·찹쌀·옥수수가루와 황금비율로 반죽해 튀긴 도넛에 달달한 댓잎설탕을 뿌려 만들어 낸다.
